What’s inside
Three parts, twenty-four pages
Print the whole thing, or just the pages you need. Every sheet is designed to be written on.
Part one
Audit
Log every item you own by category, mark its condition, and tally what you actually wore across a full month. Most people find the same eight things doing all the work.
- Category audit sheets
- Keep / repair / rehome flowchart
- 31-day wear tally
Part two
Build
Set your colour base, fill in the blank thirty-piece grid, and work out the genuine gaps. The shopping list comes with a budget column and a cost-per-wear calculator.
- Colour base swatch page
- Blank 30-piece grid
- Gap analysis and shopping list
Part three
Wear
Ten outfit formulas, a two-week wear log, a seasonal swap checklist, and a packing planner that turns trip length into an outfit count.
- Outfit formula sheets
- Two-week outfit log
- Seasonal swap and packing pages
How it works
A weekend’s work, then it looks after itself
-
1
Empty the wardrobe
Everything out, sorted into the planner’s categories. This takes about two hours and it’s the only genuinely tiring part.
-
2
Fill in the grid
Slot what you’re keeping into the thirty-piece grid. Empty cells are your gaps — and they’re usually fewer than you’d expect.
-
3
Log what you wear
Two weeks of the outfit log tells you whether the capsule works. Adjust once, then leave it until the season changes.

Questions
Before you download
Does a capsule wardrobe mean I have to throw things away?
No. The planner separates what’s in your active capsule from what’s stored, sentimental or occasion-only. Plenty of people finish the audit having rehomed nothing at all — they just stop reaching past the same six items every morning.
Is thirty pieces a fixed number?
It’s a starting structure, not a rule. The grid prints with spare rows, and the guidance covers running a larger capsule if your work or climate needs one. Thirty is simply the point where most wardrobes stop feeling crowded.
Can I fill it in on screen instead of printing?
Yes. The PDF works with any annotation app on a tablet, and the tally grids are sized for touch. If you prefer paper, it prints cleanly on both A4 and US Letter with no colour ink needed.
What happens to my email address?
It goes on the Fashion Hot list, which sends a short email every couple of weeks with new planners and wardrobe guides. One click unsubscribes and we don’t pass it to anyone else.
